ChemValve-Schmid AG celebrates its 25 years anniversary in June. The company was founded in 1993 under the name of ConVey-Schmid AG in Welschenrohr, Switzerland. At the beginning check valves of the current type PrimeDisc CSD-CVD were produced. 3 years later the company launched the very popular PTFE/PFA butterfly valve for aggressive media type ChemFlyer CST. The production surface at that time was around 1.200 m2. In the meantime, the company is employing more than 45 collaborators and is locally an important entrepreneur and apprenticeship training place. Today the production surface is more than 3.600 m2 equipped with state of the art milling centres and coating devices for high production efficiency. A further milestone in the success story of ChemValve-Schmid AG is the latest development of a promising PFA ball valve type ChemBall CSB with patented TrueFloat® Technology. This brand new valve is presented for the first time at the Achema exhibition in Frankfurt.
